An autumn sunset you can hold. This small Mookaite palm is polished to a high gloss, with a creamy ivory center framed by bands of brick red and deep mauve. One face has a bright splash of mustard yellow and speckled red at the top; the other is softer, mostly cream with a fine dark line drawn across it like a horizon.

Mookaite is the stone for when life is offering a dozen paths and you’re frozen at the fork. A form of Australian jasper, it’s known for balancing the pull between inner and outer experience: it stirs a real appetite for new adventures while supplying the deep calm you need to meet them. It’s a favorite for flexibility and versatility, helping you see every possibility clearly and then choose the right one, rather than the loudest one. Like all jaspers, it nurtures and steadies the body through busy, stressful stretches, so it’s a good one to carry on travel days or the first week of anything new. Mookaite is found only in Western Australia, named for Mooka Creek in the Kennedy Ranges, and its sunset palette of mustard, cream, red and mauve comes from ancient sea sediments rich in iron.
