Autumn leaves pressed in stone. These Red Moss Agate shivas are rounded pointed ovals in brick red, garnet and chestnut brown, with bright golden-yellow patches of moss feathering through them like fallen leaves.

Moss Agate is the stone for new beginnings, like a fresh start in a new home, the early stages of a relationship you wish to water, the business you’re blooming, or the new life era/season you're more than ready for. It’s known for refreshing the soul and helping you see the beauty in everything around you, and for rebuilding the easy connection to nature we had as kids. It encourages self-expression and trust in the process of growth, reminding you that roots grow before shoots do. It’s also a gentle comforter during stressful stretches, easing the urge to force things. Long called the gardener’s stone, it was once hung in orchards and buried in fields to bless the harvest. Despite the name, it’s a chalcedony, and the “moss” is mineral: delicate threads of manganese and iron that grew through the stone like roots.
