Twilight, polished smooth. These Purple Chalcedony tumbles from Indonesia range from smoky gray-violet to pale lavender, some with ribbons of golden orange and cream winding across the surface. The lighter stones have a soft, milky glow, while the darker ones look almost like storm clouds at dusk.

Chalcedony is the stone for when you need to soften: after a tense meeting, before a family gathering, or any time your shoulders are up around your ears. It’s known as a nurturing stone that promotes brotherhood and goodwill, smoothing the way in groups and helping you listen as well as speak. It’s a classic for gentle communication, turning heated words into calm ones and helping you take in new situations with an open mind. Purple chalcedony carries a more spiritual note, opening the crown and third eye for meditation, prayer and quiet intuition. The name traces back to Chalcedon, an ancient Greek port on the Bosphorus, and sailors once carried chalcedony as a talisman against drowning. The violet chalcedony in our shop comes from Indonesia.
