Storm clouds caught in stone. This Gray Calcite dish is banded in charcoal, slate, dove gray and cream, the stripes rolling across the bowl like weather over a winter sky, with a few natural lines crossing the bands as part of the stone’s character. It’s a generous oval, right for rings, keys, tumbles or a charging spot for smaller crystals.

Calcite is the stone for clearing the air, in a room or in your head. When energy feels heavy after a hard week, a tense conversation or too many days indoors, it’s prized for cleansing and renewing it, and it amplifies whatever energy surrounds it, which makes a calcite dish an easy place to set other crystals down to recharge. Known as a stone of the mind, it connects emotion with intellect, so feelings can be understood instead of just endured, and it’s linked with motivation and fresh starts when you’re ready to set old habits down. Gray calcite brings that cleansing energy down to earth, settling a busy mind while keeping your thinking clear. Calcite takes its name from the Latin calx, “lime,” and it’s one of the most abundant minerals on Earth. It’s a soft stone, so keep it dry and away from harsh cleaners.
