Two little lace castles with crystal caves. These faceted Crazy Lace Agate towers are swirled in white, dove grey and soft lilac lace, traced with fine rust-red lines and ringed eyes. A is the shorter of the two, its base opening into a sparkling, smoky-grey druzy pocket that wraps around the stone. B is tall and slender, with a dramatic hollow of glittering druzy cut into its front and red-veined lace running up to a sharp point.

Crazy Lace Agate is the stone for when life has gotten too serious. Nicknamed the “laughter stone,” it’s known for lifting heavy moods and bringing back a sense of humor, the kind that lets you laugh at the burnt dinner instead of crying over it. Like all agates, it works slowly and steadily, building emotional resilience so you can roll with chaos rather than brace against it, and its busy, looping patterns are said to keep energy moving instead of getting stuck. On the mystical side, it’s a favorite for joyful ritual and creative work, reminding you that play is a spiritual practice too. It comes from the Chihuahua desert of northern Mexico, where it’s also called Mexican lace agate, and every swirl, eye and zigzag is a band of chalcedony laid down layer by layer inside volcanic rock.
