Receive one Carnelian tumble per order, approx. 1" long. Each tumble is unique and will vary in pattern and shade. Photos show the tumbles in both indoor light and natural sunlight.

A pocketful of embers. These Carnelian tumbles are polished to a high shine in deep cherry red and burnt orange, and in the sunlight photos they glow a bright tangerine, showing fine crackle lines and pale speckles inside.

Carnelian reminds us that the physical body is our spirit’s earthly temple, worth keeping healthy and thriving as best we can. It’s perfect for days when your get-up-and-go got up and went. It’s prized for restoring vitality, motivation and a genuine zest for life, and it’s a favorite of artists, performers and anyone starting something that takes nerve: the pitch, the audition, the first page. It builds courage and personal power while cooling anger, and helps you trust your own perceptions and act in the present instead of replaying old stories. Traditionally a protective stone, it guards against envy and resentment, and kept near the front door it’s said to invite protection and abundance into the home. The ancient Egyptians set carnelian in amulets to protect the dead on their journey to the afterlife. Katharine, our founder, keeps a piece in her car.
