Receive the exact Labradorite palm stone pictured, approx. 2" across. Labradorite’s flash depends on the light: these photos were taken in direct sunlight, where the flash shows best. In ordinary indoor light it reads softer and moodier; please reference photos.

Lightning in a smoky sky. This Labradorite palm is smoky olive and bronze, with patches of royal blue flash and small sparks of gold scattered through it. Fine crackle lines inside the stone break the flash into shifting shards as it turns.

Labradorite is the stone for times of change, when you’re shedding an old version of yourself and not quite sure who’s coming next. It’s prized for soothing fear and insecurity, lifting your mood and lending the strength and perseverance to keep going through the in-between. On the mystical side, it’s one of the great stones of magic: it raises consciousness, sharpens intuition and psychic gifts, and forms a protective shield around your aura, which is why so many sensitive people keep one close. It’s also a gateway to imagination, said to reveal the truth behind illusions and spark new ideas. That flash, called labradorescence, is light bouncing between microscopic layers inside the stone. Inuit legend says the northern lights were once trapped in the rocks of Labrador until a warrior struck them free with his spear, and the light left behind is still shining in labradorite.
