Golden Sheen Obsidian

Golden Sheen Obsidian forms when felsic lava cools so rapidly there's no time for crystals to grow. The result is a volcanic glass with a distinctly smooth, glassy surface. The golden shimmer you see comes from tiny gas bubbles and mineral inclusions trapped in the moment of cooling, caught mid-flow like a snapshot in stone.
This is a powerful stone for self-reflection. It helps us see our strengths and blind spots clearly, while also softening judgment of others. The golden sheen is closely tied to solar plexus energy: personal power, purpose, and the courage to act on both. Ultimately, Golden Sheen Obsidian is a stone of Acceptance and Resilience.
Because it's a natural glass, obsidian is best kept away from extreme temperature changes and handled with care to avoid chipping.
