Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. Obsidian is produced when felsic lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. It is commonly found within the margins of rhyolitic lava flows known as obsidian flows. Obsidian has the ability to help one identify their own strengths and weaknesses. It also helps one to be more forgiving and accepting of others. This stone is said to enhance the truth and self control, therefore, Obsidian represents Acceptance & Resilience.
